The Election Commission has submitted the report on the 2022 (2079) election results to the President 0f Nepal. 275 members of the House of Representatives have been elected for the next five years after the commission announced the final result of the proportional electoral system. According to the election held on November 20, the Commission has announced the final results of 165 direct members and 110 proportional members.
Now, after the list of elected members is published in the gazette, the way to form more government will be opened before their swearing-in process. According to the Commission, 91 of the members elected to the House of Representatives are women and 184 are men.
7 political parties have succeeded in becoming national parties. Looking at the party basis, 89 from Nepali Congress, 78 from CPN UML, 32 from CPN Maoist Center, 20 from Rastriya Swatantra Party, 14 from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, 12 from Janata Samajbadi Party, 10 from CPN United Socialist Party, 6 from Janmat Party, 4 from Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, 3 from Nagarik Unmukti Party, 1 member each was elected from Nepal Majdur Kishan Party and Rashtriya Janmorcha, while 5 members were elected as independents.
